These solutions comply with the ATEX European directive. They are suitable for the pumping/compression of gas, gaseous mixtures and uninflammable or flammable dust in hazardous environment.

We specially develop category 2 ATEX-compliant blowers to pump/ compress a flammable atmosphere, classified as an internal zone 1 or 2, without needing to install protective devices such as flame guards.

Hibon design the blowers to function in an exterior flammable environment classified as zone 1/21 or 2/22.

The blowers obtain the certification (according to directive 2014/34/UE) as category 2 or 3 equipment according to the European ATEX directive.

To show the capabilities of our solutions, consider the following case study featuring the SNS6 B1 AD blower with an enclosure. It incorporates direct coupling for a tailored package. The blower operates with an inlet pressure of 1050 mbar abs, outlet pressure of 1250 mbar abs, and a differential pressure of 200 mbar. 

The volume flow is 200Nm3/h, and the blower speed ranges from 903 to 2443 RPM with speed variation. The blower shaft absorbed power is 7.7-8.94kW. It is certified as ATEX Zone 2 Cat.3 EX II 3G c IIC T=160°C.
