One remarkable application of the Hibon hydrogen blower is its integration into the recirculation system of an annealing furnace. This system involves a nitrogen-hydrogen mixture, with the hydrogen content varying from 80% to 100% depending on the desired sheet quality. The blower is used for hydrogen recirculation to recover otherwise lost energy.
During the furnace treatment, there may be small amounts of CO, CO2, and CH4 gasses present. The primary objective is to efficiently convey the hot mixture, reaching temperatures as high as 1100°C, to a heat exchanger. By effectively cooling the mixture to around 40°C, the blower facilitates its subsequent transfer to the dryer's inlet through filters and exchangers.
The Power of the Hibon Hydrogen Blower
When it comes to hydrogen blower solutions, Hibon stands out as an industry leader. Our state-of-the-art technology, coupled with our commitment to sustainability, ensures that you receive exceptional performance and unmatched reliability.
To address your specific process needs, Hibon offers two exceptional solution packages: B-SF and Bloc 1, designed to deliver outstanding performance in hydrogen applications.
B-SF Package
For smaller flow requirements ranging from 350Nm3/h to approximately 3000Nm3/h (SF1 to SF5), we recommend our B-SF package, which includes the NXS range blower. The blower sizes available are NX3S to NX43S. Customized based on our standard Silentflow range and equipped with a V belt drive device, the B-SF package features cast iron material for the blower and carbon steel for the package parts.
The standard sealing includes piston rings and a single self-lubricated mechanical seal at the shaft end, utilizing oil crankcases from the SNS series. The discharge pressure can reach up to 1350mbar Absolute. Additionally, we offer an ATEX ZONE 2 Gas version upon request.
Bloc 1 Package
If your process demands higher flow rates, ranging from 3000Nm3/h to 8000Nm3/h, we recommend our Bloc 1 package. It features blower sizes SNS855, SNS870, SNS8110, or SNS8170. Similar to the B-SF package, the Bloc 1 package comprises cast iron material for the blower and carbon steel for the package parts.
The standard sealing includes piston rings and a single self-lubricated mechanical seal at the shaft end, utilizing oil crankcases from the SNS series. The discharge pressure can reach up to 1350mbar Absolute. The design pressure does not exceed 1 bar G for the customer process, following Hibon's standard series. For different design pressures, alternative materials, or specific requirements, we kindly request the customer's data sheet and specifications for feasibility analysis.
